Pakistani-Style Chilli Chicken Recipe

Serves 4-6 people

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken thighs, cut into small pieces
  • 2 teaspoons cornflour
  • 100ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 large green chillies, chopped into 5 pieces each
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 8 cloves garlic, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 medium onion, chopped into 4 quarters
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli flakes

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil and cook chillies: Heat oil in a large wok over high heat. Add chopped chillies and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  2. Add chicken and spices: Add chicken, garlic, paprika, black pepper, red chilli flakes, and salt. Cook until the water evaporates.
  3. Add onions: Add chopped onions and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Thicken with cornflour: Mix cornflour with a glass of water and pour into the wok. Cook for 2 minutes on high heat.

Your Pakistani-Style Chilli Chicken is ready! Serve with Basmati Rice.
